Toronto, ON – September 29th, 2021 – ITC Systems, a premier provider of campus commerce, print management software and related hardware expands its product offering to include ASK, an Automated Screening Kiosk that provides fast, efficient COVID screening.

ITC recently deployed 25 ASK Stations at Seneca in Toronto to ease a return to campus for students and employees who must show proof of vaccination. Seneca took a lead role becoming the first institution in Canada with a vaccination policy designed to protect their community. With 35,000 full-time students, a safe return for students and employees is paramount.

Users tap their mobile phones with the ITC app at an ASK terminal. Within a few seconds, ASK confirms the user is registered, is fully vaccinated, have completed their daily COVID screening questionnaire, and have business on campus such as a class within two hours. ASK also provides separate screens for security to monitor the status of every tap.

“ASK was easy to integrate into our system and easy to use for both students and employees. The check-in stations made a complicated process easy,” said Hassan Assiri, Director of IT Infrastructure at Seneca. “With less than four months from our initial discussions, the team at ITC was able to address our complex requirements and deploy ASK in time for the opening of the 2021-22 school year.”

Seneca’s campus card incorporates library services, printing, building access, food services and more with the use of ITC’s campus card platform.  The benefit of ASK is shorter queues and faster screening. “This is all about making life easier for their students and employees,” said Dan Bodolai, Director of Sales at ITC. “Expanding integrations with Seneca’s other applications and leveraging the existing platform facilitated the rapid development of a complete entry screening system,” Bodolai added.

“The success of any new initiative or process is highly dependant on the technology we use. ASK was a solution to help the Seneca community go through an entirely new process flawlessly,” said Radha Krishnan, Chief Information Officer at Seneca. “ITC was able to cost effectively deploy their ASK solution allowing Seneca to stand behind our commitment of protecting everyone on campus”.

“With a deep understanding of transaction management, ITC is able to react to customer requirements and rapidly bring new functionality to market” said Andrew White, Co-Owner of ITC Systems. “ASK clearly fills the need for fast, efficient, electronic status verification for COVID safe programs, but will also serve as a modern approach to status verification well into the future. Based on our extensive experience integrating transactions and third-party data, ASK can easily integrate with verticals ITC serves, including campus card systems, hospitals, or corporate sites.”
