Please tell me your position at ITC Systems and your role?
My current position is Production Manager and my main focus is to maintain, manage and coordinate my Production Team. I ensure that all sales orders are shipped at the expected time, with efficiency to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality product we can produce. I am committed to maintaining a positive department attitude and ensure that all employees under my supervision are aligned with the company goals. I have the understanding that my team and I are in a strong position to influence our customers’ satisfaction. Another one of my top priorities is to keep a balance between the process improvement and company results.
My first experience as an employee at ITC Systems consisted of preparing circuit boards, assembling products and in performing quality control checks on most of our products prior to them being sent to our customers. I was then provided with the opportunity to become the Production Supervisor, which position I held for two years. This position gave me the tools I needed to understand the company “from the inside out”. Two years later, I was promoted to my current position of Production Manager; a position that is full of challenges and one that I enjoy a lot.
How long have you been working here?
I have been working for ITC Systems for thirteen years.
Can you tell us a little about your day to day job functions?
In Production, it’s quite different every day but it brings a lot of opportunities my way. Production is the last part of the chain and most of the time we work under a lot of pressure however with the amazing team we have there is a sense of accomplishment with every shipment that leaves the door. Everybody on the Team understands their role in production is to complete orders on time with “zero” defects and our reward is a satisfied customer.
What has been the most interesting thing you’ve seen or done here?
I am always thrilled to learn more about the ongoing new and advanced products that the company develops constantly. We have some amazing products such as the netZtouch series of products (7800, 7880, 7830 and Elite) that are taking us to the next level. A new product is always a welcome challenge for me.
What tools or software do you use most in your day to day operations?
In my daily routine, I use SAP (Enterprise Resources System), Skype, Share Point and Outlook.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Mexico; beaches, beautiful “Magic Towns”, food and its amazing people. Here in Ontario, my favorite vacation spot is Killarny Provincial Park. Every summer, my husband and I like to go camping to this beautiful park.
What do you like most about working at ITC Systems?
What I like most about working at ITC are the people that I work with especially my Production Team!
What more can you tell me about yourself i.e. Family, leisure activities, sports, accomplishments etc.?
My passion is my family. I always say that one of my biggest values is my Family. Every vacation I like to spend time with them, either when I visit them or when they come to Toronto. It’s a big celebration for me! In my spare time, I love to draw and I enjoy using programs to edit old and new photographs. I like to cook and try new recipes.
