All personal data is collected by your institution outside of the app. The Seneca OneCard app collects only your email address for enrollment purposes. As a third-party Data Processor, we manage and maintain your institution’s privilege credentialing system under the guidance and instructions of your institution, which acts as the Data Controller. The use of your personal information is governed by your institution’s privacy statement. We process the information provided to us in accordance with the terms of our contracts with your institution. Please refer to your institution’s privacy statement for more details.

2. Permissions Required to Provide Additional Services
To provide the full functionality of the Seneca OneCard app, we require the following permissions:

a. Location Access: Essential for connecting with nearby Bluetooth readers. We do not transmit or store your location data.

b. Bluetooth Access: Needed to scan and connect with nearby Bluetooth readers.

c. Background Location Access: Allows uninterrupted Bluetooth reader services, even when the app is not open. Your location data is neither transmitted nor stored.

3. Data Collection and Use
The Seneca OneCard app collects a minimal amount of personal information, limited to your email address for enrollment purposes. All other user information is provided by your institution. This includes data necessary for setting up and maintaining your account and enabling the use of our products and services. Additionally, we collect Device Information, such as hardware model, operating system, and unique device identifiers, to improve the functionality and user experience of our products and services.

The information we collect is used solely for the purpose of providing services to you. We do not use this information for any other purposes, and it is not shared with any third parties.
